We provide Scientific, Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in Arlington, VA. For sixty years, DARPA has held to a singular and enduring mission: to make pivotal investments in breakthrough technologies for national security.   Gryphon Technologies has an immediate opportunity for a Cellular Engineering Scientist to support the Biological Technologies Office (BTO) located in Arlington, Virginia.  The Scientist will explore the use of cellular engineering to provide augmented performance, tissue regeneration, and resilience to infectious disease.   Ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas; (1) Deploying T-cell, natural killer cell, or other cell types in clinical/animal studies, especially in the context of treating infectious disease or encouraging tissue regeneration, (2) Knowledge of emerging trends in cellular engineering, and (3) Knowledge or experience in designing vectors or transfection systems that are compatible with FDA regulatory acceptance.  Additional experience in responding to high level taskers and document preparation for high level briefings and reporting is desirable.      Duties will include but are not limited to: - Supporting a program(s) within the Biological Technologies Office - Briefing support and general administrative actions in support of the program(s) - Interaction with cellular engineering leaders in both industry and academia - Travel may be required up to 10% of the time - Work will be performed on-site

Project Managers   Requirements:    A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in the Defense acquisition process, contract management, technical and business management in DoD / Navy Programs. Three (3) years of the experience must have been in the previous five (5) years, in support of DoD contract management.   A minimum of five (5) year supervisory experience.   Demonstrated knowledge of DoD acquisition management, contract, technical and business management.   Demonstrated understanding of DoD contracts and contract analysis and has knowledge of DoD contracting processes in the specified technical area.   Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in related field or five (5) of the above 10 years demonstrates in-depth experience and specialized knowledge in field.   Professional certification (DAWIA or Project Management Professional - PMP or equivalent) in areas of contract management, program or business management.   One must have exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Support the CVN RCOH SDMs, Technical Warrant Holder, and the CVN Systems Engineering Manager (SEM). Conduct engineering studies and risk analyses to resolve major technical problems which impact current and future RCOH technical efforts and operations related to CVN systems.  Provide Level III Integrated Product Team Lead for auxiliary systems for CVN RCOH. Conducts feasibility studies related to CVN systems to evaluate the practicability and adaptability of proposed solutions and determine the efficiency of adopted improvements to insure satisfactory progress and fulfillment of requirements.   Provide engineering support for auxiliary systems, damage control, firefighting and recoverability. Participate in product reviews requiring technical expertise in support of the auxiliary systems. Review feasibility studies, shipbuilder and contractor reports etc. to ensure compliance with requirements, format and correctness, and provide comment. Provide updates to program milestones/ calendar and consolidated commitment report/action item status reports prior to each design review, Production Progress Conference or similar program management periodic status meeting.
