Provide support to PEO IWS 2 for In-Service Radars in the area of Acquisition, Systems Engineering and Project management of SPS-48 radar systems.

  • Engage in Project Management support through the acting as a liaison between the Radar Community and the various PEOs, SHAPMs and technical communities.
  • Provide Financial Management through development of 7300s, OPPs, Task Planning Sheets, Budgets and Spend Plans.
  • Review DOD guidance and policy for application and implementation for In-Service Radars.
  • Provide System Engineering support in the definition of System Interfaces, review of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and participation in Critical Design Reviews.
  • Develop power point presentations, agendas, coordinating meetings, tracking risks, action items and writing meeting minutes.
  • Provide Acquisition & Contract Management through the development of Statements of Work, Technical Instructions and Contact Modifications.
  • Engage in configuration management by monitoring of installation schedules of engineering changes into the Fleet through the use of NDE, and the WISE database.
  • Support Government Project Manager directly through monitoring cost and schedule performance through Earned Value.

Experience Requirements

  • Experience with DOD 5000 as it applies to Acquisition and Systems Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of Change Requests & Engineering Change Proposals.
  • Financial experience with Budgets, Estimating and Task Planning Sheets.
  • Familiar with configuration management principals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Personal computer skills (competent with MS Office applications).


Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline, Business Administration, or Finance/Accounting.


Five to seven years of experience in supporting a U.S. Navy program office is a plus.


One must have exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. Security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship required.
