    Gryphon Technologies currently has an employment opportunity for a  a Junior Program Support Analyst, supporting the NIMH Data Archive. This critical IT platform is an effort to make NIH research data available through a common infrastructure at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). See to gain an understanding of the project size and scope.


    This position will provide a wide range of critical program support. You will be the right-hand person to a Senior Program Manager, supporting team and project activities which include communications, documentation, marketing materials, and program coordination. You will also support users of the NIMH Data Archive via phone and email, helping them with basic site navigation and user requests.     Job Duties will include:

    • Contributing to team and project activities, including communications, documentation, marketing materials, and program coordination in a collaborative team environment;
    • Updating and maintaining the web content management system (CMS), including tutorials, FAQs, and guides;
    • Providing administrative and project support to NIMH and NDA staff, including data entry for program management support, reporting of help desk activity, and other metrics;
    • Serving as a reliable and customer service-oriented point of contact for the research community;
    • Assisting with very basic Customer Support requests from users of the NIMH Data Archive (NDA), such as answering questions via email or phone, creating and updating user accounts, assisting with user requests, keeping track of trouble tickets, and escalating any trouble shooting needs to advanced Support team members as required;
    • Help support the overall Customer Support mission by assisting with efforts such documentation, updating the Support Desk Knowledge Base, providing standard language, and procedures and policies, and possibly supporting Support Desk macros. 


    Required Skills:


    Because this work requires access to federal work sites and/or systems, US Citizenship or a valid Green card are required, along with the ability to pass a minimal background investigation/MBI;

    • 1+ years of relevant work experience, with a verifiable ability to be a successful contributor in a highly collaborative team environment;
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
    • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously via strong organizational skills;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • Adaptable, flexible, and able to work independently; 
    • The ability to work fulltime onsite at the NIMH offices on Executive Blvd. in Rockville, MD, 20850;
    • PLEASE NOTE: the work hours for this position will be within the +/- 10:00 am to 7:00 pm window, Monday to Friday, when our end-users are most active.

    Helpful Skills:

    • 4 year college degree highly preferred;
    • An understanding of human subject's research and/or grants management;
    • someone who is a self-starter, motivated to learn, and is considered a "go-getter" by their peers;
    • Experience with HTML; familiarity and/or comfort working with data, including spread sheets, SQL queries, and other data management type activities;
