    Responsibilities

    Communications Specialist - Provides communications support, managing and executing the processes of external communications for Navy Program Executive Office for Unmanned and Small Combatants (PEO USC). This includes setting up and coordinating presentations, speeches, interviews and responding to media and Congressional queries.

    Interfacing directly with PEO Leadership and assisting in strategic communications outreach including drafting responses to Congressional and media queries. Providing liaison with and knowledge of the Navy public affairs

    organizations, and procedures. Screening of defense news sources daily and ensuring items of significance are identified to PEO leadership. Advising PEO leadership on the impact of daily events on the public perception of the program.

    Qualifications

    A minimum of ten years related experience is required. Bachelor's degree desired. 

     

    One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Secret Security Clearance will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
