      • Provide around the world field engineering/technical support and industrial oversight for US Navy small boats.
      • Provide ISEA Engineering Agent support through coordination with Standard Boat Team customers.
      • Provide overall industrial management through quality assurance and multiple discipline technical expertise.
      • Provide assistance on all aspects of standard boat life cycle management, sustainment engineering, technical and ISEA programmatic support.
      • ISEA technical management support to serve as single POC for ISEA craft issues and coordination with maintenance management on both coasts and worldwide. Responsible for data gathering/management and trend analysis on craft issues. Work with management to prioritize engineering, design, modernization and technical issues. Manage and coordinate root cause analysis and corrective action efforts.
      • Responsible for ISEA industrial management and oversight on craft modernization, repairs and technical support. Provide technical expertise and consultation in multiple disciplines including hull, piping, mechanical and electrical repair and modernization efforts.
      • Coordinating and assisting with delivery of technical engineering products that conform to sound engineering principles, technical requirements and processes. Review BOATALT and drawing packages for technical compliance.
      • Available for CONUS and OCONUS travel.
      • Small Boat operational and maintenance experience and knowledge required.
      • 7 years plus experience inspecting and troubleshooting mechanical, electronic and electrical systems.
      • Extensive background in the installation of all electrical and mechanical components including but not limited to boat alterations for security systems, instrumentation, cabling, gauges and sensors, radars, external speakers, depth sounders, sonar, cabin and deck lighting, engines, pumps, generators, trim systems, outdrives, jet drives and shore power.
      • Experience in metal and fiberglass structural fabrication, welding, inspection and quality assurance processes.
      • 2 years plus experience in project management.
      • Provide leadership and technical expertise on standard boat in-service issues, engineering, life cycle management, craft repair and modernization efforts.
      • Provide quality assurance program expertise on craft inspection, repair and industrial efforts.
      • Provide technical expertise and guidance in support of standard boat repair availabilities.
      • Inspect craft, create and review repair and modernization work packages, develop cost estimates, oversee contractor work and conduct craft and system acceptance testing.
      • Conduct and oversee craft sea trials which will require boat safety/rescue swimmer training at NSWCCD V47 facility and Coast Guard operator safety course.
      • Oversee and conduct craft underway operator and systems training with boat custodians and conduct boat turnovers to Ship's force.
      • Skilled in troubleshooting and promptly taking corrective action
      • Reading and interpreting blueprints/bills of materials.
      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Access, Project, Excel, etc.).
      • Drawing simple schematics/wiring diagrams; CAD skills / experience preferred.

    • Experience operating and repairing boats in a commercial position hands-on hull, mechanical and electrical technical expertise.

    • Reading and understanding standard technical specifications.
    • Reading and interpreting drawings, schematics and blueprints/bills of materials.
    • Reading and understanding industrial work packages, test procedures and integrated testing and inspection plans.
    • Be able to multi-task in high stress situations.
    • Strong verbal communication, written and documentation skills.
    • Extensive attention to detail, ability to multi-task and the drive to take ownership in one’s work.
    • Applicant will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance issued by the US Government.
    • US Passport holder prefered.


    A minimum of 7 years related experience is required.


    One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
