    Responsibilities

    JOB SUMMARY:

     

    Responsibility for preparation, review and delivery of accurate and timely financial results to various levels of internal management and external users from various project based general ledger databases.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

     

    • Reconciliation and analysis of all balance sheet accounts including, but not limited to, Cash, Prepaid Expenses, P/R, A/P, & A/R
    • Participate in internal client meetings related to financial results
    • Provide support for internal and external audits
    • Act as a liaison between corporate accounting department and remote shared service center and multiple operations offices to promote process improvements
    • P&L (direct margin and indirect expenses) variance analysis
    • Prepare, review and upload of journal entries
    • Assist, as required, in revenue recognition process and review
    • Provide mentoring to accounting department staff associates
    • Other ad hoc analysis as required

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES:

    • Four year Business Degree with a concentration in Accounting
    • Five plus years related experience with minimum three years at senior level
    • Good communication and analytical skills
    • Proficient (Expert in Excel a big plus) user in Microsoft Office suite, exposure to project based (Deltek Vision) accounting system preferred, experience in revenue recognition practices preferred but not mandatory
    • Effective time management skills; ability to multi-task and address unexpected immediate tasks
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; comfortable in a fast paced environment and ability to react quickly to changing priorities when necessary
