The incumbent manages and directs propulsion systems engineering support on behalf of NAVSEA 05V In-Service, RCOH, and New Construction Ship Design Managers (SDM) and the Propulsion Systems Engineering Manager (SEM) on programs and projects associated with the design, modernization, repair, and maintenance of aircraft carriers. The incumbent serves as a technical expert for the Propulsion SEM and SDM TWHs by developing, implementing, and managing propulsion systems engineering support. This includes identification and analysis of technically acceptable options and the adjudication/negotiation with applicable stakeholders towards the resolution of very challenging CVN technical issues.
