Provide Material condition assessment support.
Research and document configuration changes, research and review Logistics Support Data (LSD).
Document Current Ship's Maintenance Project (CSMP) work candidates.
Use technical manuals and drawings to identify repair parts.
Research repair part and material data in Haystacks/Logiquest.
Identify appropriate configuration item Allowance Parts List (APL).
Update logistics databases as necessary.
Conduct material procurement to support installations.
High school graduate, or accredited equivalent, with formal computer based training in MS Windows-based programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS ACCESS and a working knowledge of OMMS-NG.
All candidates must have the ability to work onboard USN aircraft carriers, including capacity to travel overseas or go underway for extended periods, as required.
All candidates must have ability to effectively communicate specific maintenance logistics issues, including ability to instruct shipboard personnel; provide input to Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Assist/Assessment reports; submit ILS technical feedback reports; or deliver verbal reports to CNAL N43 staff. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Navy ILS information systems.
All candidates must have practical experience with USN 3M System, Current Ship's Maintenance Project (CSMP) and the assessment tool, ROCKATS.
Experience should include minimum:
One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
