Responsibilities

Provides daily support to NAVSEA PMS 443 Senior Readiness Manager. Assess all ship classes readiness capabilities, systemic failures, and propose potential solutions. Leverage shipboard knowledge and experience gained from military service or civilian/contractor work to solve current and/or future problem areas affecting ship readiness. Review input data from a variety of sources including CASREPs (Casualty Reports), system availability, and parts usage to correctly identify root causes of systemic problems and formulate solutions that balance cost reduction with cost avoidance. Track Category 3 and 4 Casualty Reports (CASREPs), Departure from Specifications (DFSs), Class Advisories (CLADs), In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) Advisories, and other temporary guidance for impact to lifecycle readiness and make status reports to respective stakeholders and Chain-of-Command. Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs large projects or several small complex projects.  Leads and/or participates in working groups, program development forums, analytical activities, readiness exercises, training, education and other forums as required to accomplish contract requirements.     Monitors standards for the quality of programs and documents.  Assists in the resolution of project and program priorities.  Assures quality control throughout all contract activities. Demonstrates excellent writing and presentation skills to develop briefings, documents, and papers, conceptual and analytical reports for clients. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Maintain close coordination with Client personnel, visit and perform work at Client site as required.

Qualifications

Candidate must meet the following requirements:

 

A Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of fifteen years of relevant experience

Experience in project management

Computer literate and high proficiency in Microsoft applications

 

One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Secret Security Clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship required.
