Responsibilities

Assist the Maintenance Program Manager (MPM) and CVN Maintenance Supervisor by providing engineering, technical, and administrative analysis.

 

Conduct recommendation services to support current material readiness and reporting, and maintenance availability advanced planning, development, and execution for aircraft carrier CNO scheduled availabilities and maintenance upkeeps.

 

The individual will act as TYCOM headquarters staff coordinator for the CNAP Japan based maintenance team.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

 

Overall, a minimum of eleven years experience is desired. Military training is required.

  • Ten years minimum experience in Navy ship maintenance.
  • Three years recent experience working in aircraft carrier repair, maintenance and modernization in support of Navy, Program Office, and Type Commander programs.
  • Three years recent experience planning and coordinating ship repair and maintenance.
  • Three years minimum experience in TYCOM staff procedures.
  • Familiarity with government contracting requirements and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Knowledge of Type Commander, shipboard, regional maintenance center and Naval Sea Systems Command organizations and functions related to ship maintenance.
  • Experience with Forward Deployed Naval Force (FDNF) aircraft carrier maintenance plan and issues.
  • Two years minimum experience in Fukushima fallout controls and remediation.
  • Ability to communicate and interface with senior Navy personnel (O6/GS-15) on a routine basis.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

 

One must have exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. Travel is required.  A Security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship required.
