To support Sustainment Facility Commander Naval Surface Pacific (CNSP) San Diego, CA.  This individual will provide support to the CNSP Fleet Damage Control Officer overseeing material management and materials services to the fleet. The incumbent performs the full range of non-supervisory work of the sustainment facility.


The selected individual responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

  1. Act as liaison between CNSP and service customers; ability to coordinate projects from start to end; and must have strong communication skills with the ability to work with Navy officers at the O-4 level and enlisted personnel.
  2. Perform a full range of sustainment facility activities to include receiving, storing, movement, inventory and proper disposal of CNSP Damage Control and Firefighting equipment including Aqueous Foam Forming Film (AFFF); develop plans for storage and arrangement of stock to determine warehouse configuration, setup, movement, rearrangement and traffic flow; and will be required to move stock from bulk locations to supply shelves and responsible for material stored within the designated facility.
  3. Maintains records management; ensure formal accountability of all incoming and issued warehouse material is properly identified; prepares inventory reports; and be able to screen and identify receiving documents for discrepancies.
  4. Develop and maintain logistical support policies documenting the procedures required to receive, review, process, and monitor incoming equipment; and ensure that inspections of equipment are performed in compliance with the prescribed criteria to determine physical condition and serviceability of material.


A minimum of five years military logistics related experience is preferred. A High School diploma or military education is required.

  1. Experience in compiling reports, overall warehouse planning, documentation requirements, and accepted warehousing methods, procedures and techniques;
  2. Skill in using hand trucks, dollies, and other equipment to move stock; forklift operator certification preferred;
  3. Experience in setting up and rotating storage locations considering factors such as available space and product turnover;
  4. Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to compare item identification against receiving reports and issue request forms;
  5. Ability to follow written and oral communication instructions.

This position is physically located in San Diego, CA.


One must have exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Secret security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship required.
