Assist the Program Manager, team leaders, and NAVSSES technical community involved in the Cruiser Modernization Program. The program is a collaboration between SSES tech codes, waterfront managers, and NAVSEA sponsors to deliver a comprehensive modernization package. The role of the Program Office is to manage the tech codes in a common manner to ensure the delivery of a successful integrated hardware/software (HW/SW) product.
Schedule and coordinate meetings for small meetings of engineers and program support personnel to large meetings that include senior personnel such as Program Managers and Executives; noting, collecting, and tracking action items from meetings; managing data bases, sometimes large and complex.
Will require ability to handle complex Excel files, Power Point presentations, large integrated Word documents, and Project files.
A minimum of seven years related experience is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Familiarity with IT terminology and HW/SW systems including MCS, GEDMS, TWIS, DVSS, ICAS, IBNS, AHSS, CTM, GPM, FCS, EC, LBES and HED desired; knowledge of corresponding SSES and SEA personnel and departments a plus.
Must be skilled in planning and executing several meeting schedules (monthly, quarterly) simultaneously on a regular basis. Requires ability to adjudicate technical inputs from multiple sources, accurately record and provide timely delivery of meeting minutes and action items. Meetings range from small technical discussion groups to large multi-organization conference calls.
This position also requires attention to detail, and ability to handle large amounts of data from a large cohort of technical professionals.
Will require ability to develop, populate, and maintain complex MS Project files, Excel files; Power Point presentations; large, integrated Word documents.
Working knowledge of US Navy process and procedures including ECPs, logistics, AIT, SPIRS, NMCI, Sharepoint, Icemakr (SSES secure document server), desirable.
One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
