Responsibilities

Senior LHA(R) Programmatic Support

Candidate will provide direct support to the LHA(R) Ship Acquisition Program Managers (APM) within the U.S. Navy’s Amphibious Warfare Program Office, PMS 377, and will lead the contractor programmatic support team by assigning all tasking from APMs associated with the design, contracts, production, and Post Delivery (PD) issues, coordinating with other PMS 377 stakeholders and personnel, and ensuring all work product and services meet quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in an engineering discipline, although educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for directly applicable work experience.
  • Must have at least fifteen years of experience directly related to technical assessments, budget planning, program management, and acquisition documentation.*
  • Must have supervisory experience and demonstrated knowledge of DoD acquisition, technical, and contractual management, as well as U.S. Navy shipbuilding acquisition processes and procedures.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment with flexibility to adapt quickly to changing requirements.
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is desired.

* Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.

 

Location/Travel:

  • Washington, DC
  • Up to 25% travel may be required.

One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Secret Security Clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship required.
