Senior Logistics LHA(R) Team Lead
Candidate will lead the Logistics LHA(R) support team within the U.S. Navy’s Amphibious Warfare Program Office, PMS 377, and will coordinate with the Principal Assistance Project Manager (PAPM), Deputy PAPM, and other PMS 377 stakeholders and personnel, as required. Candidate will provide day-to-day oversight of the LHA(R) logistics contractor support team to include tasking and direction to team members while ensuring all work product and services meet quality standards. Candidate will assist the PAPM and the LHA(R) Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) manager at the shipbuilder’s facilities, attend meetings, and coordinate efforts with the U. S. Navy’s Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion & Repair, Gulf Coast (SSGC) counterparts.
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, although educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than nine years applicable work experience.
Must have a minimum of fifteen years of experience supporting a DoD Acquisition Category (ACAT) shipbuilding program.*
Must have at least five years of supervisory experience and demonstrated knowledge of DoD acquisition, technical, and contractual management, as well as U.S. Navy shipbuilding ILS processes and procedures.
Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment with flexibility to adapt quickly to changing requirements and conditions.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is desired.
Desired expertise with the following logistics elements: Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE) systems, Configuration Data Manager’s Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA), Army Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center Safe Access File Exchange (AMRDEC SAFE), Corporate Document Management System (CDMS), Haystack, Technical Data Management Information System (TDMIS), and other Navy software.
Must be proficient using Microsoft Office applications.
* Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.
One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Secret Security Clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship required.
