Responsibilities

  • Read Ship Installation Drawings, create Configuration Overhaul Planning (COP) records.
  • Research and document configuration changes, research and review Logistics Support Data (LSD).
  • Research PMS -Management Information System  for applicable PMS
  • Review ILS certifications.
  • Research repair part and material data in Haystacks/Logiquest.
  • Identify appropriate configuration item Allowance Parts List (APL) / Allowance Equipage List (AEL).
  • Update logistics databases as necessary.
  • Create CDMD-OA Work Files.

 

Qualifications

High school graduate, or accredited equivalent, with formal computer based training in MS Windows-based programs such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS ACCESS .

 

All candidates must have the ability to work on-board USN ships, as required.

 

All candidates must have ability to effectively communicate specific maintenance logistics issues, including ability to instruct shipboard personnel; provide input to Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Assist/Assessment reports; submit ILS technical feedback reports; or deliver verbal reports to NNSY code 281 staff. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Navy ILS information systems.

 

All candidates must have practical experience with USN 3M System, Configuration Data Manager Database Open Architecture (CDMD-OA).  Experience should include minimum:

  • Four years of experience in researching, analyzing, and organizing ILS technical data, including ship drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance support data.
  • Two years of experience in updating CDMD-OA with ISEA rights. Use technical manuals and drawings to identify configuration items. Candidates must have practical experience in shipboard equipment maintenance and logistics support, able to identify configuration changes due to equipment alterations.

One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
