Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of the Aircraft Carrier’s Modernization related to C5I and HM&E;
  • Support analysis of Ship Change Documents;
  • Support assessment of Ship Change Documents;
  • Naval Message;
  • Shipboard Coordinator of Availabilities;
  • Coordination with COMNAVAIRLANT staff;
  • Support reviews of aircraft carrier life cycle maintenance strategies ;
  • Draft Naval Messages;
  • Provide briefs, reports, databases, and spreadsheets on CNAL Plans and Policy issues in MS Office format; and
  • Navy Data Environment.

Must be familiar with TYCOM Fielding Plans and Configuration Control Boards.

Qualifications

Minimum of ten years of experience in processing of Ship Change Documents (SCD’s), an active Navy Data Environment (NDE) account, an active Carrier Team One account and an active CDMD-OA account. Contractor employees should also be experienced in FEDLOG, Haystack Gold, OARS, and LAR/SPAR/SPLI.

 

A High School Diploma is required.

 

Experience in the following is a plus:

  • Hull Mechanical & Electrical experience who works in the machinery or plant;
  • Served on an Aircraft Carrier (during an availability is a plus);
  • Experience in writing 2Kilos and working with the CSMP;
  • SWO or ESWS qualified;
  • C-Schools on specialized systems;
  • Excellent user of Microsoft Office Programs outlook, word and Excel and a plus with Access programming and use; and
  • Lots of experience with Database use and development.

One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Secret Security Clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship required.
