Responsibilities include:

  • Provide HM&E engineering support in the areas of machinery design, integration, testing, and maintenance. 
  • Develop system arrangement and detail drawings, design reviews, departure from specification reviews, technical review of Contract Deliverables, and on-board support US Navy Ships.
  • Provide support of Power Transmission equipment in Main Machinery Systems such as Propulsion Shafting, Propellers and Waterjets.
  • Provide engineering support to the design, repair, installation, modification, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of US Navy equipment and systems. Support includes review of technical documentation, procedure development and implementation, as well as equipment and parts procurement assistance.

Occasional off-site travel may be required to support technical meetings, testing events, training events, program reviews, and design ship checks.  


A minimum of two years related experience is required. A Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college, university or Maritime Academy is required. Entry level experience in Navy Ship systems, including mechanical/electrical system design, repair, installation, modification, operation, maintenance and testing of Navy equipment or systems is required.


One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
