Responsibilities

Candidate is responsible for managing and overseeing the Corporate Security Department, serve as the Facility Security Officer, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the NISPOM. Act as the ISSM. Ensure compliance and coordination of all compliance requirements regarding security.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining Security Databases;
  • Administering the Security Education Training and Awareness (SETA) Program;
  • Investigating and reporting security violations;
  • Incident reports;
  • Coordination of periodic re-investigations and preparation of DD254 forms for subcontractors;
  • Conducting Self-Assessments and leading Annual DSS Assessments;
  • Processing personnel security clearances; and
  • Maintaining JPAS records.

 

The Security Manager serves as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO).

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight years related experience is required.

 

Successful completion of the DSS Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) Facility Security Officer (FSO) Curriculum for Possessing Facilities is required. Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification process for classified information technology systems is desired.

 

CompTIA Security+ desired.

 

One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
