Responsibilities

The Cybersecurity Engineer will be the primary hands-on technician responsible for updates and patching, vulnerability analysis and mitigation, and coordination of all facets of cybersecurity with the Director of IT and other members of the IT team.

Qualifications

This position is for an experienced cybersecurity professional with knowledge of a broad range of practice areas, including threat detection technologies, EUD protection strategies, PKI, incident response, cybersecurity policies and procedures and best practices. Experience with DoD requirements is important. Environment is primarily Windows server / desktop and Apple mobile. 

This is a mid-level, non-supervisory position. The ideal candidate needs to be flexible, enjoy working with technology and people, and excited about trying new things, as well as routine but critical processes required to support daily operations.

 A minimum of five years related experience is required. Bachelor's degree in related discipline(s) is required. Additional training/certification(s) is a plus. Security certifications such as Security+ or CISSP are a large plus.

One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
