Responsibilities

The candidate will provide engineering and technical support to the U.S. Navy including programmatic and in-service engineering requirements.

 

The candidate will serve as a database/network administrator for NSWCPD software programs Support can include maintenance support, data migration, ATO support, security patches and updates, help desk support and system monitoring.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university is mandatory.
  • Three years experience programming in C#, C++, ASP.NET, Transact T-SQL, Visual Basic VB.NET, Active X Data Object ADO.NET, Java, Pascal and Visual Basic.
  • Knowledge of NSWCPD Metrics Program Management (MPM) is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of Navy Systems and programs is required.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers and their systems desired.
  • One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
