The Systems Engineer/Analyst in this role supports system engineering activities for current and future instantiations of the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) System. The individual will provide advisory and assistance services on our TEAMS contract supporting the Aegis BMD Weapon System Program Office (AB/AW) in the development, production, and certification activities associated with the Ballistic Missile Defense element in the Baseline 10 instantiation of the Aegis Weapon System.


More specific responsibilities include:

  • Provide dedicated technical support to the AB/AW product manager
  • Review and assess prime contractor and its subcontractor(s) weapon system development activities
  • Track and assess the progress and maturity of the baseline as it proceeds through design, development, and test phases.
  • Participate in technical planning and execution discussions and supporting the program office at meetings to include: Systems Engineering Life-cycle Reviews, Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), Program Reviews, and Certification Assessments.
  • Review and provide input into developmental artifacts to ensure they capture System requirements and are executable.
  • Support System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary, Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), In-Process Reviews, and Certification.
  • Additional tasking includes assessing and providing insight into developmental efforts to include providing details on funding requirements, proposal reviews, schedules, system performance, fleet tech docs, model registration, and accreditation efforts.



  • A minimum of 8 years related experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience working in a dynamic DoD program office environment desired.
  • Experience supporting the DoD/Navy weapon system development process desired.
  • Experience with Ballistic Missile Defense and/or Aegis BMD highly desired.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
  • Clearance: Secret required.

One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
