    Responsibilities

    Main Responsibilities: The drafter will work with our current staff to create 2D drawings of ship electrical, structural, piping, HVAC, or arrangements.  

     

    They will be responsible for editing and finalizing drawings, as well as organizing all relevant project data.

     

    This is a temporary, part-time position expected to last two months, with the possibility of extension depending on our future requirements.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Ability to read technical drawings including electrical, structural, piping, HVAC, or arrangements.
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD. Ability to learn new software as needed.
    • Willingness to be "hands-on" and tackle challenging projects with minimal oversight.
    • A minimum of three years related experience is required.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Associates degree or comparable technical certification. Military experience or training may be substituted if relevant.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Ability to communicate clearly in English and use basic office software (MS Word, Excel, etc).

    One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
