Responsibilities

Accomplish combat systems tasking in areas such as: requirements definition, functional allocation, systems development, software specification development, hardware definition, baseline management, test, engineering, evaluation, safety, cyber security, and certification.

Experience as a system engineer working in teams performing research, development, test and evaluation of Navy systems. Examples of desired experience include:

  • Performing system engineering in design, development and integration of systems with other engineering systems; and
  • Providing assessment of engineering systems mission readiness.

Developing engineering concepts, functional and performance analysis, refining and validating requirements.

 

Verification and traceability of requirements from top-level requirements documents and specification reviews of documentation, specifications and proposals, to identifying engineering and performance shortfalls and key performance parameters. 

Qualifications

A high school degree, or a GED, or a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

 

A minimum of three years of relevant experience is required.

 

One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
