Providing technical leadership to accomplish combat systems tasking in areas such as: requirements definition, functional allocation, systems development, software specification development, hardware definition, baseline management, test, engineering, evaluation, safety, cyber security, and certification.
Experience as a system engineer working in teams performing research, development, test and evaluation of combat weapons systems engineering. Examples of desired experience include:
Developing engineering concepts, functional and performance analysis, refining and validating requirements.
Verification and traceability of requirements from top-level requirements documents and specification reviews of documentation, specifications and proposals, to identifying engineering and performance shortfalls and key performance parameters.
Development of warfare system DoDAF architectures, use of system engineering software tools such as DOORS® and System Architect®.
A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline. Master of Science preferred.
Fifteen years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, ten years of relevant experience with a master's degree in a relevant field, or twenty years of relevant experience with a high school degree, or a GED.
One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
