Responsibilities

Will provide Fly By Wire (FBW) Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and FBW general support to the client (NAVSEA 07Q). The following are desired in order to provide said support:

 

(a) Ability to apply knowledge to solving engineering problems;

 

(b) Knowledge of FBW Ship Control System (SCS) design, materials, manufacturing, testing and operating procedures;

 

(c) Knowledge of general Quality Assurance practices and policies (e.g. ISO 9000); and

 

(d) Recognition by a professional quality assurance society or organization (e.g. ASQ, ISO, etc.).

 

Qualifications

A minimum of three years professional experience is required with at least two years experience with Fly By Wire Ship Control Systems or Fly By Wire Flight Control Systems. Bachelor's degree in Engineering is highly desired; however, experience may be substituted on a case basis.

 

One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
